Year 1 of the Vermont Monuments Project begins with a statewide audit of publicly visible artifacts across all fourteen counties that commemorate a “person, place, or event that have made a significant contribution to the public history of Vermont.” The monuments and memorials were researched, documented, and then collected into a database on Historypin to be analyzed in year 2.
